Castle Hill Extension

Project Introduction

The SBS Building Services team upgraded this Castle Hill home by adding a new indoor outdoor entertaining area and extending the original build downstairs. The goal was to create a comfortable outdoor space out the back, perfect for entertaining, with a new master bedroom extension added to the downstairs level.

From the front of the home, you can see the new bottom-floor wing our team built on the left-hand side. The brick and roofline used in the extension match the original build, allowing the latest addition to blend into the existing home seamlessly.

Inside the new extension, a master bedroom was established. A large bedroom complete with an ensuite, the new room also included an impressive extended build-in-wardrobe running along the external wall. The modern ensuite itself featured wall-to-ceiling tiles that continued across the floor.

In the backyard, our team transformed the original patio into a grand entertaining area. Removing the timber frame roof and readjusting the overall layout, we built an inviting indoor-outdoor space complete with rendering on the walls. The new roof included downlights, three skylights for enhanced natural lighting and a fan for climate control in the warmer months.

In addition to the roof fixtures, natural stone tiles and a remarkable outdoor kitchen were installed. The kitchen included a grill, cabinetry, a sink and refrigerators. Another prominent feature in this outdoor space was the gas fireplace, which would be perfect for cooler nights with friends and family.

As a result, we delivered a brand-new master bedroom for the family to grow into and an exceptional outdoor area to entertain all year round. The clients were thrilled with the finished outcome.
