Yes. Any changes to the exterior of your home, structural changes or change of use of a space requires a permit.
How long your project will take to complete will depend on the extent of the job. The average renovation takes between 3-4 months but can take up to 12 months. A timeframe idea can be given to you once plans have been drawn.
Yes, our indoor outdoor services, like all of our services, include worker’s compensation, Home Building Compensation Fund Insurance, construction works insurance and public and products liability. Please note, the homeowner is responsible only for insuring their existing structure and personal contents. We encourage you to check with your home and contents insurance provider to ensure that the building works do not affect your insurance policy.
Yes, we can quote you if you already have existing indoor outdoor living plans. We can meet with you to discuss the specifications and give you a detailed proposal for your project.
Council approval time will vary but can take anytime between 40-90 days and potentially longer in some cases. Your approval will depend on several factors, including the council and their processes, the extent of your project, the concerns of neighbours and how detailed your application is. We advise you to plan ahead and leave plenty of time for this to be done.
